Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Grey Suede Egg Chair & Footstool
Described as a masterpiece of Danish design, the Egg chair was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.
Groundbreaking at the time, the chair has gone on to become a true design classic and is still manufactured by Fritz Hansen today. The curvaceous silhouette creates an enveloping seat with a high back and integrated armrests which sits on an aluminium four-star base allowing it to swivel.
Fully upholstered in grey suede, the lounge chair has a padded seat cushion for additional comfort while a matching footstool mirrors the curves of the chair and has the same base.
A design icon, this Egg armchair and footstool would add a touch of mid-century Danish design to any contemporary living space.
